On the morning of March 10th, Fife Police Department and the Metro SWAT team served a narcotics search warrant in the 5200 block of North Levee Road in the City of Fife. Fife Detectives and members of the Criminal Interdiction Team, acting on a tip from a concerned citizen, previously had begun an eight week long investigation into a possible marijuana growing operation which resulted in the search warrant application.
During the service of the narcotics search warrant detectives located over 100 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Numerous items of drug paraphernalia, large heat lamps and plant fertilizer were also found along with several firearms.
The suspect, who had prior felony convictions, was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail on drug manufacturing, drug paraphernalia, and for being a convicted felon in possession of firearms.
